ประโยค Direct Speech & Indirect Speech มี 4 ชนิด
1.ประโยคคํากล่าว ( Statements )
2.ประโยคคําสั่งและขอร้อง ( Orders and Requests )
3.ประโยคอุทาน ( Exclamations )
4.ประโยคคําถาม ( Questions )
วิธีใช้
1.ประโยค Direct Speech เป็นประโยคบอกเล่า เราใช้ said หรือ told โดยมี that เป็นตัวเชื่อม และ เปลี่ยน Tense เป็น more past เช่น
John said, “I want to see Mary.”
John said that he wanted to see Mary.
2.ประโยค Direct Speech เป็นประโยคคําถามที่ขึ้นต้นด้วย Question Word เราใช้ asked กับ Question Word ตัวเดิมและเปลี่ยน Tense เป็น more past เรียงประโยคเป็นบอกเล่า เช่น
Sri asked Sak, “What time does the train leave?” Sri asked Sak what time the train left.
3.ประโยคDirectSpeechเป็นประโยคคําถามที่ขึ้นต้นด้วยกริยาช่วยเราใช้ifหรือwhetherเป็น ตัวเชื่อม เปลี่ยน Tense เป็น more past เรียงประโยคเป็นบอกเล่า เช่น
Dan asked Mark, “Do you like chicken?”
Dan asked Mark if he liked chicken.
4.ประโยค Direct Speech เป็น ประโยคคําสั่ง ( Imperative ) มักใช้ t old มี to เป็นตัวเชื่อมกับ verb เช่น
Paul said to his brother, “Turn on the lights.”
Paul said to him to turn on the lights.
5.ประโยค Direct Speech เป็นประโยคขอร้อง ( ขึ้นต้นด้วย please ) ใช้ asked หรือ told ตัด please ทิ้งแล้วเติม to หน้า verb เช่น
Somchai said, “Please give me your pen.”
Somchai asked me to give him my pen.
6.ประโยค Direct Speech เป็นประโยคห้ามปราม ( ขึ้นต้นด้วย Don’t ) เราใช้ told ไม่มีตัวเชื่อม เช่น
Nancy told Susan, “Don’t be late.”
Nancy told Susan not to be late.
7.ประโยค Direct Speech ที่เป็นข้อเท็จจริง กฎเกณฑ์ปรากฏการณ์ธรรมชาติ เมื่อเป็น Indirect Speech ไม่ต้องเปลี่ยนเป็น more past เช่น
My father said, “The earth moves round the sun.”
My father told me that the earth moves round the sun. 8.การเปลี่ยนความห่างไกลใน Direct Speech เป็น Indirect Speech
